Dr. Mayah Abraham BSc (Hons) PGC, MA, M.Phil., PhD. MCMI, FHEA.
Mayah joined ARUL in September 2017, bringing a wealth of industrial experience that enriches his academic teaching. He currently lectures on Business, Tourism, and Hospitality modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His pedagogy is engaging and interactive, incorporating class discussions and debates. He believes in learning through guided experiences and peer-to-peer interaction, which is reflected in his teaching style. This approach has contributed to students launching start-up businesses and improving graduate employability outcomes.
Before joining ARUL, Mayah served as a module leader and programme leader for Business, Travel, Tourism, and Hospitality. He also held the position of Principal in an FE. Additionally, he has taught at the University of Wales and Coventry University in London.
Mayah has published and co-published in international peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work at both national and international conferences.
He holds a PhD in Management and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He is also a member of the Chartered Management Institute and an active member in the European Academy of Management (EURAM).
